It certainly is - this was lacrosse training for Under 15 boys. I manged to derail the training with my photo experiments ...

The orange disc was a marker for them to shoot. I had measured out approximately 10m as I did a back of the envelope calculation that when shooting at 60mph (100 kph) a ball will travel approximately 27 m in a second. Hence, 10 m equated to roughly 1/3 of a second and also 30 flashes at 100 hz. I didn't always manage to time the shutter correctly though so it was a little hit and miss.
