Winter Has Arrived
Posted By: Jimbo, 12-17-2008, 05:21 PM

Ok, a few more from yesterday. I have shown the morning reflection a couple of times. Other then a crop, all these are as shot. The second one is from the Whisler area and got the last one on the way home. The sky was really weird and dark given the time of the day. JIM

Really like the muted tones of the mountains and sky in the 2nd one; austere but serene at the same time.

The 2nd and 3rd shots are really great, impeccable photos. With your classic emphasis on lighting and mood, these two are very nicely done.

The first one has a little bit of concern on framing for me. Still colour, contrast and mood are all great there.

Nice shots Jimbo #1 and #2 are great. Did you happen to see the downed lift pole at Whistler ? Man that owuld would have been a trip being in the gondola then (and the pole broke!).

Thanks James. I kind of like the first one though the warning pole in the middle is a little distracting. I am going to re-shoot this from a different location and speed the exposure up a bit. [was 30 secs.. maybe 25-20 secs] Thanks for commenting. I have a few more on the trip to Whisler I will post soon.

I was half way home when the lift broke at Whisler. Just missed all the action. Thanks for commenting Dave. JIMBO
