Lockheed C-130 Hercules coming in for landing · **7 Likes**

I was out shooting 'exotic' Indiana landscape... cornfields & a sprayer. I hear a roar overhead and a C130 (military transport) is landing at our local airport, just across the street from me. This is normal as there's an active military base a few miles up the road. They often practice take offs & landings, basically a touch and go. Just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

That's a really great image. The light is beautiful, the cornfield provides an excellent foreground, and the position of the aircraft in the frame relative to the crop sprays works superbly. I love it!

That was certainly an opportune time for taking this photo. You really got a lot of attractive elements into this image. I'm glad you were there to get the shot. Very nice composition.
