Bought the wife some zinnia's for the mailbox...
Posted By: GLThorne, 03-14-2007, 03:34 PM

My wife & I love spring as it's a time to plant new stuff in our yard and on our land. We picked up a few zinnia's from Lowes yesterday and I grabbed a few with the Sigma 100-300 before she put them around the mailbox this afternoon.

As always, comments are always welcomed and appreciated.

Hope you enjoy....

Even on my uncalibrated monitor, someone just looked over my shoulder and agreed, these look good!

Hi Greg
Nice shots! I like the 2nd shot better. If the first shot had a little more depth of field (so the top half of the center of the flower will be in focus as well) then I won't be able to choose!

cheers
Kenny

Yeah, I thought about that as I put them on the computer thinking I should have dropped to about an F/11-F/22. Maybe next time!

GL - Anytime man!

I think Kjao, myself and my on-looker are in agreement on the second shot.

Really? I think I like the first one better. I think it has more detail within the petals and not as "cluttered" with all of the other colors in the background.

That's it! I'm heading back out to shoot these some more!!

I agree, I like the first one's less cluttered look, but the pink in the second one just blows me away. Such vibrant colors!

Thanks for brightening up the day!
