Playing Hide and Seek
Lens: Irix 150mm f2.8 macro Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Boerne, TX ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F20

with a tiny spider. This is a very tiny spider that I spotted and was chasing around the flower to take its photo. I would take a shot, and it would run to the opposite side. We did this several times until I finally left him alone.

Those are really nice images, Todd. The good light allowed you to get very good and bright colors and nice detail, especially on the spider. I am glad that insects like this are small. I wouldn't want to meet a giant version.

Yes it's a Jumping Spider and it looks quite healthy

Thanks Mike! I guess we must look like giant monsters to them, particularly with the big piece of glass stuck in its face.

Very good shots!
I think it's good that you used the Irix glass (spiders don't like Irix! )
I don't like to get too close to these critters since I had a couple of different casis of them jumping onto me and biting me.
I didn't find them to be poisonous but there is something about their bite that really does hurt!
So that long telephoto is a good tool to use with these beasts--at least according to my experiences.
And very excellent images it made too!
