An ISO of 8000 certainly increases that lens capability .

Absolutely. The light wasn't especially bright at that time, aside from the fact that the bird was in quite deep shade (it's winter here as well).

Thank you Jer! Appreciated as always. What's cool is that the image is cropped quite a lot, ISO 8000 and still plenty of detail.
