Nature Tricolored Heron

The pictures were taken about one hour before the sunset which was behind me.It was over cast and the sun was poping in and out.

That Heron has such interesting colors. I hope to see one some day. Nice shots of the bird in the its environment.

The fourth and sixth shots really appeal to me!
That heron knew how to pose!
And the vegetation in the last shot makes it interesting too.

Very nice series. I haven't had the opportunity of photographing a heron for some time. I see 'em around town while riding my bike and - of course - without my SLR.
