Nature walk with the Takumar 135mm 2.5
Lens: Super-Multi-Coated TAKUMAR/Super-Takumar 135mm F2.5 Camera: KP Photo Location: North Carolina

Went for a small walk with the Takumar 135mm (6 element version). What a great lens (if you nail focus). All I can say is that at f2.5, focus peaking is my friend! And the flip up screen on the KP makes shooting from my waist or at ground level much easier for me.

I believe the trees are longleaf pine (correct me if that's not right). They start out looking like a large clump of grass, second to last picture. The cellphone is to give you an idea of the size of the cones.

Have a great day!

This is a very nice series of shots, nicely done. The lens performs superbly with terrific isolation and bokeh, and that flip screen looks like the perfect tool for many of these shots. I wish I had one...

I agree that the lens performs well in your hands. I doubt that I could achieve the same results with manual focusing. This is a very nice set of selective captures to show details of encounters on a nature walk. Very natural and well done.
