People Tower viewer

My first day with the SMC Pentax-FA 100-300mm f/4.7-5.8. Wishing I had remembered to stop down the aperture.

The person in the photo is using permanently-mounted binoculars at the Port Orchard Observation Deck to view Sinclair Inlet at low tide. I'm certain their hair is really blue and it's not chromatic aberration.

I'm not sure the aperture is a wrong choice. The subject is very nicely isolated, from the front of the scope to just before the eyes--which are obscured anyway.
Keep using that fine tool!
