Bumblebee on Echinacea
Lens: Laowa 100mm Camera: K1ii Photo Location: Missouri ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8

I have discovered macro photography doesn’t require travel thus saving gas. I just walk in the backyard and hunt around the flowerbed. This bumblebee stayed in the same spot for sometime while I took several photos. Single shot with diffused flash.

Excellent macro of the Bumble bee. You got the focus right in this shot. You do save gas shooting in your yard. I shoot lots bird photos in and around my yard. To get these images, I would need to also plant some attractive flowers. Thanks for sharing.

That is not only a great photography shot, but it is also interesting in the recording of details of the biology on display here.

Thanks MikeNArk! I have planted mostly native flowers but the nonnative sunflowers seem to attract the most insects.

Fantastic macro with excellent details and colors. It is great when a bee is cooperative like this one and allows you to compose such a nice shot.
