Brrr! really nice image, though. sharp delicate detail and subtle color.

Today in my part of the northern hemisphere the temperature is expected to hit 34 C.

Strange how the forum shrinks the World and it's seasons... here's the UK setting new record highs of 40.3°C

I like the way that the ice crystallized on this foliage. It formed a pretty and thick coat. Nice capture. Our temps will be 100+ F. all week.

What an astonishing image to us in the north.
Just came indoors from the outdoors hell temps of just below 40 degrees C.
Sharp, freezing cold crystals decorating a plant so deeply that only the ice is visible, and I am trying to drink my iced tea before the ice cubes melt!
Amazing--all of it in the same world!
Angky.

One of the very best things about this forum is the way it brings people from all over the world together through a shared love of photography and an ethusiasm for Pentax cameras and lenses.

We are watching on in horror down here, because we know exactly what you are going through.

I was in high school in the 70s, when the science of the greenhouse effect (actaully thr 'enhanced greenhouse effect' but it wasn't framed that way) was percolating out of the laboratories and into the public shpere. Both my chemistry teacher and biology teacher said it was all nonsense, because the vast oceans would absorb anything we could emit. They were wrong. I wonder how much better off we would be now if the issue was taken more seriously back then, instead of being treated as something that wouldn't hit us for another 40 years or so. Here we are 40 years later and it is hitting us.

We never have snow here and frost is rare but enough keeps flowering through the winter to have something to point the macro at.
