The day had been very hot and dry.
A deep red rose survived in the dark shade.
A narrow ray of late afternoon sun found it.

Interesting find hiding in the darkness. Just a glimmer of light filtered through enough to get that image of the rose and its leaves. It does have nice colors. The darkness creates a little mystery around the rose.

Yes, it is interesting how that rose, hidden in the dark shade, shone out in appeal to me.
