The bird was not the only one focused. Your focus on the bird was excellent. Beautiful capture with lovely bokeh.

Fairy-wrens are much smaller than Jays, but I'm glad you can relate! You're quite right, the little ones tend to move fast. This was after sunset and the bird was backlit, so I have plenty of blurred images.

Thanks Mike! The lighter lens might have helped on this occasion. DXO smoothed the bokeh nicely.

Really a wonderful catch of the little guy with the backlight outlining him against the smooth background.
