Cavan and Fermanagh, Ireland

My wife and I spent last weekend in Counties Fermanagh (Northern Ireland) and Cavan (Republic of...) last weekend. Beautiful place, with lots of history. Except for the view of Lough Erne, which was taken with my 16-85, all of these were taken with my D FA 21 Ltd.

Territorial view of Cavan Burren Park (this image is one of several that have me concerned about my D FA 21 - look at the awful bokeh around the foreground heather):

Tullygobben Wedge Tomb, Cavan Burren Park, Co. Cavan:

A glacial erratic on a pedestal, Burren Forest, County Cavan, Ireland (wonderfully scoured):

Giant's Leap Wedge Tomb, Cavan Burren Park, Co. Cavan:

Sarcophagus at Caldwell Church, Co. Fermanagh (wish I'd spent more time with this one):

I think this is a very good series of images at these interesting sites. How far back in history are these sites. Thanks for sharing.

I get great feel of the green island from these shots.
The rocks are quite interesting.

Thanks for the comments. Megalithic structures in Ireland are roughly 3500 to 6000 years old (for reference, the Pyramids of Giza are about 4500 years old). There are hundreds, if not thousands of these things, around Ireland. Many are on private property (e.g. in the middle of some farmer's fields) and others on golf courses and roadsides. Others, like most of these, are in designated parks.
