This butterfly revisited the back yard a few days ago, and I had to get some more shots. Three views.

Thanks so much for your comments. When I find the expert who took these shots, I'll pass them on to him.😁

Are you quite sure it is the same butterfly?
The wings look so perfect--as if just newly out of the chrysalis.
Really like the shots of the butterfly and its leaf together.
Angky.

I really like all of them. The color is interesting and the images are all sharp. Nice series.

Thanks Angky. I'm not sure it was the same one that I photographed before, but it's the same type. It is a very pretty butterfly, and if it lands to pose for me, I can at least oblige. That is a good leaf for the shot.😊

These are excellent shots of this pretty butterfly. One of those lessons in camoflage; it tries to pass itself off as the (toxic) Spicebush Swallowtail. One of the few butterflies I see when hiking back in the woods.

Thanks for your comments and information. That's some interesting information about both butterflies. I need to take the time to read more about these things.

This is an excellent series of butterfly shots Mike. I really like the color patterns of this butterfly. I haven't seen one of these around here.

Thanks Todd. I've been happy to see them around. The weather kind of hinders what you can do this summer. Hope you get a break soon. Mike
