The first shot was taken this morning with the the Pentax-FA 100-300 F4.7-5.8, the second was taken a couple weeks ago with the Sigma 17-50mm F2.8 DC EX HSM, Both with a K&F Concept Black Diffusion 1/4 filter for supreme glamour.

They don't look worried about your presence. The seal in the first image seems to be smiling and very content. The second image has pretty good detail in bright light. I'm surprised how different the two seals faces look. Is there a reason?

I think the 2nd is a young male, but I'm not certain. I think he was surprised as I just popped out of the hatch for the first time that morning.

Hi Wbkw, those are great shots of our local 'water dogs'... I'm just down the road in Gig Harbor. See these guys out every time I take the kayak out, but I'v never been able to get quite this close.
