Osprey with Catch of the Day
Lens: Pentax D FA 150-450mm Camera: K-3 III Photo Location: Dogtown Lake, AZ

I'm still trying to get one in its dive for the fish. They just dive so abruptly and fast that I get them once they catch the fish. This one did a close flyby after catching it.

I'd give this series an extra like if I could. You covered it all from the catch to the get away. Every image had great focus. Good gear and good skills pay off with these types of photos. I'm impressed! Great work.

Thank you. These were kind of the surprise of the day. It was really close for that last one.

Excellent series - love the way the fish is oriented fore-and-aft, to minimise wind resistance.

Fantastic captures! I don't know how you can improve on these shots. They are outstanding.

Really excellent series, as others have already said.
I used to live by a mountain reservoir where these birds kept the fish & game people busy.
