Seasonal Changes
Posted By: Jimbo, 12-19-2008, 07:13 PM

Ok, There are a few areas I wanted to shoot different times of the year. this is one of them. I posted the bottom shot a few weeks ago and since it snowed recently, I wanted to re-shoot the picture. I want to do this again in the spring and summer. Both were shot using the Pentax 12-24. Light was difficult on todays shot, so I think timing will be important. As far as timing on the shot today, it was within 20-30 minutes of the first shot.. [3:00 P M - 3:45 PM] Jimbo

What a change to the scene a bit of snow has. Makes me cold just looking at it. Nice one Jimbo.

Jimbo try to take photos from the same spot during 4 seasons.Afterwards, divide into 4 equal parts and add to earch corner 1 season.

That second shot is my favorite. I love your idea of taking shots from the same place for all four seasons. Can't wait to see the whole series.

Thansk James. The area is close to my home so doing this will be easy. The hardest for light may be summer as the leaves are in full bloom. always appreciate your commeents. JIM

Great idea. I think the crops are different on these two. JIM

You did a good job of almost standing in the same place Jimbo.

I like the second one best, very dramatic.

I prefer the second one too. I worked on it for hours before completing. I wanted to take a shot of the same area on all four season. Two more to go! JIMBO

Two really good ones. I like the contrast between them both. I especially like the partially frozen water circling in the foreground of the first one, and the magenta color in the clouds in the second. Moody and well done.

Is that a nudge to make Jim post 3 images per thread?

Nice contrast of seasons Jim! Perhaps crop the upper image a bit to more closely reflect the FOV in #2?

Regards,
Marc
