Hornet vs. Dragonfly
Posted By: MightyMike, 12-20-2008, 09:22 AM

I was going through some of my airshow photos when i came across this one... while taking a picture of a CF18 Hornet i just happened to also get a dragonfly in the shot... in this situation i'm pretty sure the Hornet would win. Last year i had a shot towards the sky the a dragonfly got in but i lost it in a harddrive crash.

do you have any unique/interesting dragonfly shots?

in this gallery i have shots of a dragonfly/damselfly eating a misquito but they are shots from my FZ30

Awesome shot!
The Dragon fly looks pretty big though.

Yeah, the dragonfly does look big, maybe it's one of those secret government spy drones.
Funny, I thought they only used pigeons.

Great capture Mike.

Great capture Mike.
Spy drone or not its well in front of the focal plane which makes it closer to the camera and therefore look bigger then it should

Cool shot Mike. I took a look at your Macro gallery and saw some really nice macros there. Those are particularly great shots when one keeps in mind the one single lens available on the FZ 30. Thanks!
