Bald Eagle and a Cormorant
Lens: Pentax D FA 150-450mm Camera: K-3 III Photo Location: Dogtown Lake, AZ

The eagles were a little skittish today, so I only have a few as I left them alone. Normally, they don't pay me much notice when I'm in my kayak and it isn't until someone goes to walk under them on shore that they decide to fly away. The one that is really colorful is natural light,iIt was first thing in the morning. I haven't seen cormorants up here in a couple years, so it was a nice surprise.

These are all terrific images! I really like the fanning of the wing tip feathers in both eagle in flight shots. The lighting is fantastic on both the perched eagle and the cormorant.

Thank you. I didn't think I got anything good of the eagles this morning, but I really like the first.

That first photo is a great in-flight photo and there is nothing wrong with the rest. You did pretty well despite them being skittish. The cormorant photo is also very nice. I enjoy viewing your photos from Dogtown Lake.

Thank you. It's probably my favorite spot in AZ.
