Great focus on the bird and captured with excellent detail. A closeup view reveals a "pretty"dark eye. Very nicely done.

Thanks! This is another western mountain bird, it is actually a variety of Sparrow and there are a bunch of differently coloured sub-species. The juveniles have the more common brown striped feathers we usually associate with sparrows.

Very nice image. We are fortunate to have an abundance of these Juncos stop and visit for a snack out of the squirrel feeder. That's okay because the squirrels indulge themselves out of the

bird feeder. Many thanks for a great capture.

Well taken. That lens and TC combo certainly work well together - and in what appears to be less than ideal light . The feather detail is excellent.
