Then why is it called a Blue-ringed Dancer?

Beats me, but I did view an image of one on the internet that was this color. Most of them were blue, however. Great detailed capture and great (non-blue) colors.

We’ll, since you asked, I’ll tell you. This brown one is an immature male. If the rings were darker, it would be a female. A mature male looks like this:
