Great series of photos and tons of information concerning racing history. I enjoyed reading about all these early racers. Thanks for sharing.

In addition to about a dozen planes and a little theater, the Lyon air museum has a small permanent collection of land vehicles - jeeps, Japanese and German motorcycle/sidecars, a Helms bakery delivery van - and Hitler's 6-wheeled parade wagon.
They host temporary exhibits like this one from time to time. In the past it has been Porsches, Duesenbergs, Packards, and similar vehicles. They occasionally have "tarmac days" out on the pavement. 15 minutes from my house...
