Abstract In Nature--Three Years After the Forest Fire
Lens: HD Pentax DA 16-85mm Camera: K-70 Photo Location: High Sierra Nevada Mtns ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F8

Nature, after a wildfire, gives us an abstract image.
A lone stem of manzanita left protruding from the ground.
A dense waist-high growth of some kind of reddish fine-stemmed flowering plant now past its season. (The flower/fruit are the white balls in lower right corner.)
That is what I found in this severely scorched place a day ago, after the fire went through here a few years ago.
Angky.

Nature has found a way to cover the scars on the landscape except for the one remnant from the blaze. Beautiful colors in this foliage. The patterns in this image look very much like a painting. Excellent catch, Angky and a great capture. I actually think this would look great framed and hanging on the wall

Thanks to both of you, Mike & Tony!
Greatly appreciate your input.
Surely am glad that such a harsh scene on the ground is also able to make a room more beautiful.
Thanks again!
Angky.
