End of summer pictures over the Saint Lawrence. K3 III + HD DA 16-85 mm / HD DA 55-300 mm. Harsh backlight well rendered with these HD lenses.

Plenty of backlight, but as you said well rendered. Nice sky colors in both images.

Very very moody images indeed!
Those lenses really master the image! And I have both of them. But not the K3-iii. Someday I'll need to finish out the triad.

This is really a nice duo of lenses, not really fast but very good around f/8 - f/11. The new K3 III makes a "World of difference", creating sharp and colorful images with a shutter sound to die for. All lenses seem sharper on this new sensor.
