Point And Shoot
Lens: Canon Camera: PowerShot TX1 Photo Location: Various ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F16

I purchased this small camera back in 2007 for its video capability and never really took any pictures with it. It has a stabilized optical 10X zoom lens (6.5- 65mm = 39–390mm equiv.) and a tiny CCD sensor. I thought I'd finally give it a try again at some pictures.

This is a photography group. According to the rules, all manufacturers' brands are welcome.

Extremely awesome work. Very, very sharp and well constructed images. I noticed one vehicle has Oregon license plates. Thanks very much for sharing.

I was glad for my Canon Powershot back several years ago.
It had some chroma around the edges in high contrast, but it definitely made some fine pictures.
And it was great to have since I could keep it with me everywhere and use it to pre-view shots for my film camera.
interesting shots you made here.

Very well done with that wee beastie! I had one, long ago, but it was a film camera, not digital. It was useful, better than no camera.

I'll not complain about any shots that are done well. Interesting selection of images. I'm not real familiar with that Chrysler. Looks to be a mid to late 60's imperial(?).

Thanks. I think they are a 1966 Chrysler Newport Coupe and 1966 Lincoln Continental. Some cars I found parked out on the street.

A nice series of images. A camera like this is a good tool for these kinds of shots, and its small size means that it can go anywhere with you.

Thanks, yes, it's easy to take along.

Thanks. I was surprised with the lens performance both at closeup and telephoto.
