A little Red flower
Lens: Sigma 180mm F3.5 Macro Camera: Pentax K1 Photo Location: Perth Western Australia

with Smoke Bush leaves in the background makes an interesting contrast.

This is a very nice composition EM. The smoke bush leaves are a very good background contrasting nicely with the beautiful red flower.

The red flower certainly does stand from the background with focus isolated on the flower and its companion bud. A very attractive image.

Yes they make a very neutral background for a shot

Yes, that contrast is interesting--and a bit unusual.
I like the intense "maroon"(?) of the bloom making its own "statement".
