Early Morning on the American River
Lens: Sigma 17-70 Contemporary Camera: K-5 Photo Location: Sacramento, CA
Posted By: ToddK, 09-24-2022, 05:25 AM

These were taken several years ago a few minutes apart in Sacramento on the American River at the CSU Sacramento campus. The first looking upstream from below the Guy West Foot Bridge with the intake structure for the water treatment plant, and the second is the J Street Bridge. If you look closely, you can see some fly fishermen on the river downstream from the bridge to the left of the left bridge pier.

Excellent shots, the still water makes them great for reflections so well done.

Great shot the first image, that structure should be turned immediately into a deluxe residence... for me.

Thanks KD! It kind of looks like a modern-day castle with a moat and a bridge. The constant humming and vibration of thousands of gallons of water flowing underfoot might become a little annoying.

Gorgeous landscape shots, Todd. Extremely beautiful scenes captured in ideal conditions and lighting. Love the colors and water reflections. Excellent compositions.
