Eastern Tiger Swallowtail at the NP
Lens: Sigma 135-400 APO Camera: Pentax KP Photo Location: Hendrix Nature Preserve ISO: 250 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F8

Found this fine specimen of the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail at the nature preserve on the same day as the Pipevine Swallowtail. It too was beautiful in the sunlight. Several views.

Thank you, Julie. I am glad you appreciate the beauty of this butterfly. Like I said, I saw this butterfly the same date as the other Swallowtail and decided to post them separately. Each has their own distinctive beauty.

Thank you, Angky. At times when I am taking pictures I am focused on the subject and forget all the other elements which make an image attractive. Your comments are exactly right. It is the coordination of all the elements, including colors, which make the image.
