Somebody else got the blessing; the flowers were facing away from me!

Amaryllis flowers were blooming everywhere we went on this part of the central north coast of California this past weekend.

Gorgeous is the correct adjective. These flowers appear to glow in the darkness. The beautiful colors and delicate details make a very attractive display. Well shown, Angky.

Thank you for the accolades, Tony!
Glad to know that you approve, since you do such wondrous floral images yourself.
Angky.

Yes, the flowers not only "appear" to glow, they actually did have a glow about them as the sun touched them.
They weren't in darkness, but were in a shady area with some higher luminescence hitting them making them shout out at me to come get their portrait.
Thanks for the note!
Angky

There is something almost ethereal in the delicate light illuminating the pale mauve of this flower against the darker forest background. An uplifting image.
Good one, Angky!

This is such a beautiful and well-constructed floral image! The illumination of the blooms against the dark background is outstanding.

Thank you for your kind words.
Actually, the image was right there--almost unavoidable once the camera was up to my eye.
The image seemed almost to trigger the camera by its own compelling presence!
Coming up on my monitor back at home, it pretty much took me by surprise! Some careful tweaks to adjust reds back to normal and decrease the influence of the background...and the image was there.
Appreciate your assessment!
Angky.
