I visited the Nature Preserve yesterday in hopes of finding some more Monarch butterflies. I found one all by itself. Probably the last one I'll see during this migration. Four views.

Thank you very much for this review. This is probably the last Monarch that we will see this year. This one must have been lost. About 20 years ago, hundreds of them descended and spent the night in the trees in our backyard. They all left early the next morning. We haven't seen them like that since that time.

This a great series, the colours are vibrant and the detail extremely sharp.

The reason for this is because we have a tendency to destroy the Milkweed flower. The Milkweed flower is the only place the female Monarch will lay her eggs. Unfortunately,

the Monarch's numbers are on a steady decline. Sad to say.

How fascinating these critters are!
Vivid colors in precisely defined patterns--and seemingly no good reason for that except for passion in the builder!
Always something for me to marvel at.
Interesting images!

Thanks Jer, but I am not the "Macro, Macro Man".😁 I appreciate your comments. Hope all is well with you. Used the K-5IIs and Sigma 170-500 for these.

Thank you, Todd. I appreciate your comments. I haven't been out much lately. I had a surgical procedure early this week and I am on the mend.
