Biggest snow storm in 30 years
Posted By: hamidlmt, 12-22-2008, 11:28 PM

We hadn't had a bigger snow storm in December for a long, long while. I've been stuck at home... can't even get my car out of the driveway!

All snapped with the K20D and various lenses...

The black walnut tree in the backyard... the largest of it's kind I know of in the area...

I guess I won't be taking the camper van out any time soon either...

Time to fire up the BBQ!

At least the dogs are entertaining. In addition to Chaya and Sofie, we're also watching our friend's dog while she's traveling back home for Christmas.

The Rat Pack

Sofie thinks she's a little piggie

Chaya always mugs for the camera

Bear having a rest

Gonna getcha!

Dude, Hamid, I love the Buddha sitting there serene and warm in his blanket of snow. I'd crop off a bit of the right side of that shot, but great catch. Gotta love dogs playin' in snow...

That Buddha has been one of my main lens test subjects through the years. He's seen a lot of weather, but nothing like this before!

Here's a bit of a crop. I may try and get another shot tomorrow.

I'm still confined today! I'm going to have to get out for a stroll this afternoon.... with the camera, of course!

haha! I really haven't done much shoveling yet! Been staying next to the fire instead! Maybe today if I want to get the car out.

I'm loving it! We've had such mild winters in recent years. When I was a kid, we used to get some good snowfalls.... this really takes me back!

Wanna have a cook out?

uhg... pipe problems... sorry to hear that!

We're getting a break today, but we're predicted to get hit tomorrow with another 4 inches. Stay warm up there Jimbo!

Break out the tri-tip!

Ice is much harder to deal with. Hope you don't have to go out in that stuff!

We got hit pretty hard here in Vancouver USA as well! I don't have a Buddha in my yard, so the garbage can will have to do:
