Cattleya Orchids are often called the queen of orchids.This one is hanging from an oak tree in my back yard. It came in bloom last week I posted some pictures to show its pretty flowers.

That's a new one for me. It does have vivid red and orange colors. Love the closeups showing the shapes and details of the blooms.

Thanks for your comment. My wife loves orchids and has a lot of Vandas hanging on our trees.

That's a real beauty! Really well grown and well-flowered! Just out of curiosity...is there a tag in the pot? I know it's a hybrid, it looks familiar, but I can't quite put my finger on the name.

The plant is about 6 years old. I checked and could not find any tags.We bought the plant from EFG Orchids in Deland Florida.They have a web site. EFG Orchids.com I hope this helps Thanks for viewing the photos

Thanks. No biggie. I know EFG, if I have a chance I'll try to browse their site to see if anything looks like a match. I was just curious, no worries.

What makes you say you can't grow them yourself? They are not at all difficult, at least the ones common in cultivation!
