Architecture Neuville parochial church with cyclist stopping in front to say a prayer.

I was preparing to take a picture of this historic church when an older gentleman stopped by on his bicycle and said a prayer in front of the building. K3 III + HD DA 16-85 mm ED @ 16 mm FL and f/11.

Cyclists in Quebec would ALL do well to pray--FERVENTLY--at every church and shrine they come to what with the drivers you have there. I've cycled up in the northern burbs around Laval while my son competed at gymnastics semi-nationals. Beautiful area, but "wowie zowie" is about all I can say about the automobile traffic without profanity!!!

Indeed, I was hit twice when I was cycling in my twenties, once by a guy whose family I knew well and the second time, by an Orleans interurban bus going at least 80 miles per hour (the air disturbance it created threw me into the ditch). One of my good friends was killed by a drunkard last year while cycling (he was three houses away from his home). Scores of cyclists are killed or hurt by cars and trucks going too fast or showing total contempt for people on two wheels.
