What a beautiful image. The sun has set this image on fire and the starburst has provided the special effects. Great shot through the arch and good contrast with the blue sky and blue haze in the background. I love this image.

Thanks for your positive comments. The last time I photographed Mesa Arch I used the 12-24. The flare from the sun was huge. This shot is a big vote for the A20 F2.8.

Glad to see the excellent results of the A20!
I bought a used one and hoped it would handle light well. I like using it, but haven't used it much yet, and not with any harsh light sources.
I am completely impressed that you got such a good shot at this place. I understand that it tends to be crowded with cameras.
Great shot!
Angky.

Thx Angky. Yes, you have to get there at least an hour before sunrise to get a front row "seat" for your tripod. We got the last two available. My tripod was almost flat on the ground to get the angle needed to record the sunrise. People were crowding around & getting in my shot. Must have been 50-60 people there. Hope your copy performs as well.

Very impressive especially considering the lens is 37-year old technology.

Hey Mike, once again love this shot. Impressed with the way the A20 handled the sun straight ahead - no haze or ugly flare artifacts. The diffraction spikes from the sun (sunstars) also nicely rendered. Well done on getting there at the crack of dawn ;>)
Have a splendid Christmas and New Year,

Thx Alan. The A20 did a great job. My first attempt years ago with my DA 12-24 resulted in a starburst that looked like an ugly mini-fireworks burst! Happy to have your lens.
