I have watched the odd "Escape to the country" doco, and similar, some of which have included thatched roofing. It was interesting viewing. But this property you have so expertly photographed is something else. The work around the windows is sublime. The thatching looks very dense, the outside edges so well finished.

Beautiful thatching, beautiful architecture, and beautiful lighting in a fantastic image!
The thatching has evolved a great deal since its early years millennia ago.
Mud brick and rough thatch over the poorest huts.
Still being done in modified form where I worked in remote islands on the equator--done with palm leaves.
Poorest houses for the poorest people there. Maybe someday they will have beauty in their homes.
Glad to see what thatching and brickwork can really become!
