Thanks, eaglem. It was quite a poser on the flowers and soaking up the sunshine.

Another terrific series. We have had quite a few Gulf Fritillaries feeding in the backyard vitex bush the past couple of weeks. They have such interesting colors and markings.

Sorry to hear that, but I do understand. We have them year-round, and if the weather is inclement we can always go to the butterfly conservatory at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Lots of exotic butterflies there! The only downside is that the conservatory is waaaay over on the far side of the place, something of a hike from the visitor entrance...a beautiful walk in good weather. In lousy weather, not so much.

Thanks, Todd. They are, indeed, beautiful butterflies. I have some images of them where their markings shine like silver.

Thanks, Julie. It's probably good that I don't have them year round. Butterfly photography can be addictive.

Indeed, it can. I've posted a few in the "Butterflies and Moths" thread.

Thanks, Jer. You know, I'm never satisfied with only one shot of a butterfly. Glad that you liked them.
