Forester moth on milkmaid

Yes they produce their own cyanide, so they are happy to hang out in the sun and use their flashy colours to ward off predators.

Oh, that's really interesting, Rob. I had no idea! Amazing!

(thinking about the naturalist's distinction between "poisonous" and "venomous"...often confused in descriptions. I couldn't imagine a venomous moth, even knowing there are a lot of dangerous critters in OZ)
