Very nice colors. The splatters of light in the shaded area make an attractive image.

The play of light and shadows through the trees and onto the forest floor is very nice. Well done.

I like your image.
Would like to take some shots of dense forest trees--which I have done--but I cannot find myself pleased with the lighting--either too dark or somehow too busy.
This one has an appeal that I'm trying to understand.

J felt that there were all the conditions to get a good photo , after several shots J chose the best one in my opinion. J agree, the contrast lighting, in that case could be a problem.
