Macro Getting Up Close and Personal

with a Skipper Butterfly. Being late in the season with few blooms left, the butterflies are more interested in holding their ground and feeding and are not intimidated by a camera lens in their face.

Good work in obtaining these macro's. I'd have to put superglue on them to hold those poses. Good detail and colors, Todd. I really like the eyes on Skippers.

Hard to fix focus on which is more interesting--the insect or the flowers!
Very interesting shots--and attractive!
As always, you got the plane of focus perfect, and the background really sets up the image.
