On a recent visit to the nature preserve, I found a few things still worth viewing.

What? Mike went to the nature preserve with a camera and didn't get any snake shots?!
I'm glad of that!
I liked the turtle pictures.
I wonder what that plant with all the curly seeds is in the bottom picture.
Good series!

Thank you for that comment. I dropped by there today and found very little activity. The temps are dropping about 30 degrees over the next few days and I wanted to get there while it was still pleasant.

Thanks, Angky. Just shows that snakes are smarter than I. They know the weather is changing. A few turtles were still around, glad you liked them. I haven't been able to ID that plant yet. My phone app came up with orb weaver once. No it is not a spider.😊. Mike

Hi Julie. The "Seek" phone app identifies it as American Beautyberry (Callicarpa americana). It's native in southern states and grows wild in wooded areas around here. I've had butterfly bushes (they died), and it is not that. Thanks for commenting.
Aha...thanks. So much for my SWAG
