Thanks for the kind words.

All 3 pics were taken with the DA 50-200 (love this lens!). The first shot had a Tamron 1.4x teleconverter attached - not by choice. When I saw the bird appear, I wanted to move quick before he flew away and didn't have time to remove the teleconverter.

Shots 2 & 3 were taken with the teleconverter removed. Considering I was also shooting through a "less than perfectly clean" window, I'm pretty content with the outcome...

Very cool Camperguy!

I live pretty close to you...in the Stoughton area. We've had a cardinal
by our feeder lately too. Not sure where he was most of the winter, though.

It must be spring, for some reason when I saw your title I was expecting baseball pictures!

Really nice pictures, I especially like the first one, it's a little bit different than most bird pictures.

I haven't been able to get close enough to a cardinal so I'm jealous!

Thank You.

We generally have a few birds in the yard but ever since we put up the bird feeder, we're getting cardinals almost every day. I'm pretty new to DSLR and have been chomping on the bit for picture ideas - the feeder has helped.

I really like #3. It looks like the bird has got its eye on you.
