Landscape Submission
Lens: DA 18-250 Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Capulin Volcano New Mexico ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F11

Taken from the rim of the larger extinct volcano in the Raton-Clayton Volcanic Field in northeastern New Mexico. This shot is of one of the smaller sister peaks in the distance. Rain clouds were around us and the clouds added drama to the scene.

Beautiful and well composed. As Angky noted, it is dramatic.

This is what I would call Big Sky Country even though it is New Mexico and not Montana. It is a very dramatic image with the beautiful cloud covered sky, and the vastness of the plain leading up to the old volcanic cones. Well done!

I have a question....I submitted this photo, but, it is shown in the thread of submissions for voting. Does someone have to nominate for submission? Or, did I do something else incorrectly?
