Very creepy atmosphere, the exposure is just right to capture that uneasiness. That ascending line of lights roughly in the middle of the frame is really interesting.

I'd personally love to see this cropped a bit tighter as there's not a lot going on in the left third of the frame.

Anyways, an interesting capture with a lot of tiny details to discover. I like it.

I think I might see your point of "terminus'" in the light at the very left.
If this was posted on a site with higher resolution, I think we would see the progression of very dark details on over to the left much better.

If wouldn't be hard to get lost out there. The visibility is limited due to the dense low fog. I, too, find the atmosphere of this image to be a bit eerie. Perfect setting for a murder mystery. I like this dark image.

Agree that isolated lights far left suggest the "terminus": of the rail line? Of the viewer? Diminishing stature of utility poles followed by their subsequent absence reinforces the loss....of stuff....

Thanks very much everyone for your kind comments, they really do mean a lot - it's my first time submitting photos to any kind of contest. This uploaded version is a little "off" compared to the original high-res version, but that's what I get for not compensating!
