Picked up an A-50 1.7 recently and gave it a shot. Untouched except a little crop.

Thanks. Not bad for a $75 lens. Not sure about that composition, but it's just a pic.

No complaints about the composition from me. The details of the flowers are very distinct while the butterfly is more softly focused, but it works for me. Nice shot.

Those A-50 1.7s make a very pleasing image in the right settings.
Not quite the hard fine detailed definition of modern (or macro) lenses, but still sharply defined and pleasing to look at.
Exposure is very well controlled in this image.
I think your image makes me want to wander around with mine a bit more today!
