From my Archives : Mono Lake at the Junction of U.S. Rtes 395 and 120.
Lens: Minolta MD 35 mm f/1.8 Camera: Minolta XE-7 Photo Location: California Aperture: F8

Kodachrome 25 image of Mono Lake, California. Minolta XE-7 + MD 35 mm f/1.8. I was descending from Yosemite and going towards Death Valley in 1979.

Another good shot on from film. You did an excellent job with you film photography. I was never that good. At least with digital, I can delete my numerous bad shots without having to pay for developing them.

My Minolta cameras always provided spot-on exposures on Kodachrome film (particularly the XE-7). In later years, I switched to Minoltas X-700 (I have 4) and negative color film (Fujicolor mainly) and exposures were always excellent.

Glad you showed Mono Lake from back in '79.
I'll check it out next time I pass by and see how much it has changed.

This 1979 view is from the North side of Mono Lake. In 2019 I visited the South shore where you can see tufa columns. Totally different experience.
