Took this photo just as the sun was completely setting, creating this gorgeous effect of the rays of light shining up from behind the mountain. If you like it please vote for me in support.

Thank you for the compliment. The photos I took during this period had a very special meaning to me as I had been adjusting to rural life after leaving NYC due to the pandemic. In that time I became very close with some of the wildlife and honed my wildlife photography skills. I went from waking up at 8am during my city life to waking up at 5am so I could be in my homemade blind before the animals would notice. The entire experience opened up a new way of thinking about the world and could be described as etherial. I developed a deeper respect for nature and our place in the universe.

Great perspective! I'm glad that you've found such a new thing!
Life went the opposite direction for me. Grew up in the outdoor rural and mountain life, but recently had to enter the city (because of family).
The change has opened my eyes up a good bit too--for which I'm glad. But I would like to return to rural life if such can be achieved.
Thanks for the explanation, and I'm glad of the ethereal quality you express.
Angky.
