Very cool image! I just think of all of the polishing required on a daily basis to keep it shining.

Thank you, I suspect that the polishing may have little or no impact on the coffee’s it produces.

The polishing might not have much effect on the coffee, but it certainly makes the B&W photo sparkle!

Amazingly beautiful (and complex) machine. But wouldn't it be much easier to just pop in a packet of Instant coffee mix, into a cuppa of hot water ?

I hope I haven't stirred up any trouble with my comment.

However, I do think that Italian designed and made machinery can be exceptionally beautiful to gaze upon. Such as the the 1960's, early '70's Ducati single cylinder, OHC engine.
