A very nice close-up of these beautiful berries. They may not be edible, but they are a treat for the eyes.

Very pretty presentation of these rose hips.
Are these from an inedible rose?
I've eaten plenty of rose hips raw just for the nutrition.
The pods must be split open and the seeds and prickly hairs inside stripped out. Then the outsides may be eaten.
Bothersome work. And they aren't all that tasty, but they have a mildly pleasant dry flavor and are nutritious--at least the ones I've eaten.
Your image makes them look attractive to eat.
