Landscape From my Archives : Above the "marine layer" and first glimpse of the "Golden Gate".

I woke up in heavy fog along Rte 101 near the shore of the Pacific one July morning in 1979. After driving a few miles south, I climbed above the marine layer and contemplated a "Sea of Clouds" illuminated by the morning sun. Then I finally got nearer San Francisco and reached the small viewpoint park in Marin County, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Minolta XE-7 + MC 24 mm f/2.8 on Kodachrome 25.
